CNGB
China North-east Geological Bureau. Chinese Government institution carrying out on-site geological survey work in China and overseas.

JORC
Joint Ore Resource Committee. The JORC Code is a professional code of practice that sets minimum standards for public reporting of minerals, exploration results, mineral resources and ore reserves.

KE
K-Electric. Formerly Karachi Electric Supply Company Limited, a private vertically-integrated power utility in Pakistan that manages the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity to the city of Karachi.

NEPRA
National Electricity Pricing Regulatory Authority. Government agency responsible for the regulatory framework, ensuring the provision of electric power to the electricity consumers of Pakistan.

NTDC
National Transmission and Despatch Company. The State company, owning and operating the National Grid.

PPIB
Private Power and Infrastructure Board. Government agency, part of the Ministry of Water and Power, established to promote private sector participation in the power sector, facilitating private power projects, and issuing Government guarantees on behalf of Government of Pakistan.

Sindh Carbon Energy Limited. Subsidiary of Oracle, holding the Mining Lease, opening up and operating the mine.

SEPCO
Shangdong Electric Power Corporation. Comprehensive engineering company, including investment, financing, survey, design, equipment supply, construction, commissioning, and operation of electric power projects and transmission infrastructure; subsidiary of Powerchina.

SEPA
Sindh Environmental Protection Agency. Government agency responsible for approval of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments of major projects and their ongoing monitoring and performance.

China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation. China’s Export Credit Agency

Thar Coal and Energy Board. Government agency established to fast track the development of coal resources of Thar on behalf of the Governments of Pakistan and of Sindh.

Thar Electricity (Private) Limited. Subsidiary of Oracle, constructing, owning and operating the power plant.
